Shopping in Downtown Lenox
One of the best perks of staying with us at Downtown Upstairs lies in our name...you’re only steps away from the heart of downtown Lenox! Although small and compact, Lenox boasts a vibrant and diverse downtown district, complete with lots of options to get your shopping fix in. You could easily spend a day just wandering around and popping in shop after shop, but here, we’ve narrowed down some of our favorites for you.
Surprisingly, you’ll find quite a few clothing stores here despite being such a small town, many of which are boutiques with Lenox being one of their only locations.
For a more upscale shopping experience, head to either Twigs or CERI. Both boutiques carry a wide range of smaller, harder-to-find lines and designers and have been serving the clientele of the Berkshires for decades now. Whatever your taste may be, you’re bound to find something that you love at either of these shops for any occasion.
But for an opportunity to shop with a purpose, be sure to stop into Catwalk on Church Street. This unique little boutique features on-trend, in style, and affordable fashion, but all proceeds go directly to the Berkshire Humane Society, which has sheltered over 50,000 homeless animals to this day. Every time you shop at Catwalk, you’re directly supporting the work of this amazing organization and helping these animals find forever homes.
On top of that, the shop is run entirely by volunteers, and their passion for what they do and the cause they serve create one of the most enjoyable shopping experiences you’ll find, so be sure to pop in and say hello to the wonderful ladies whenever you’re in town!
Another great little shop worth checking out during your stay is MacKimmie Co. Also located right on Church Street, the store specializes in various home goods, blankets and throws, and imported textiles, but you’ll also find an assortment of gifts and unique items that you’ll be pressed to find anywhere else!
And finally, no vacation would be truly complete without picking up at least some souvenirs, especially if this is going to be your first in the Berkshires region. So, make sure to check out ‘What a Gift’ on Main Street at least once before you leave! The small, independently owned gift shop offers a wide selection of both unique gifts and Berkshires souvenirs to remember your time in the region for years to come.
Of course, there are countless other shops to explore right in town, and on a rainy day especially, there’s nothing quite as relaxing as shopping your way through all that downtown Lenox has to offer!
